Short Yet Busy Week!

So we had a short week as a result of the snow but we had a lot of great things going on here.  Before we get to the pictures I want to let everyone know that the new Expanded Learning Opportunities will begin the week after we get back from vacation.  The snow delayed the return of many permission slips and we will need a few extra days to get organized.

So.......as we leave for vacation here are some pictures and some updates of the cool things we had going on  here during the short week!

Scott Cannon
We had Scott Cannon here writing songs with grade 3 over the past few weeks.  This Wed. the students had the opportunity to hear and perform their songs in the Auditorium.  All the songs were about friendship and the PTA provided enough blank CD's so that students could receive a copy.  The songs were excellent and the kids had a great time!

Robert Frost
Today we were treated to a performance by the classes of Mrs. Mastropietro, Mrs. Burke, Mrs. Card, and  Mrs. Deluca.  Students performed the poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost both orally and in sign language.  We were all very impressed!!!!

Strings
At the end of the day Friday I was treated to an impromptu performance of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by some of our Strings Instrumentalists.  They are getting better every day.

Meteorologist
We also had meteorologist Joe Joyce from Channel 4 here Wednesday.  What great timing after the big storm.  Kids had a great time and had a lot of questions!

That's it for this week.  Have a great vacation!
