Happy New Year HBB! We hope everyone had a relaxing, enjoyable holiday break. It's good to be back and into the swing of things. I was surprised how well our kids transitioned back from being off....that's a good sign! We had a great week and we are keeping our fingers crossed that we make it through the winter without too much snow. Speaking of which.......
Dress Warm!
Regardless of the mild start it is still winter so it is that time of year to
remind everyone to make sure the kids are dressed appropriately for the
weather. If the “real feel” temperature
is above 25 degrees we are going outside for recess…… That is still pretty cold
so please make sure your child is dressed appropriately.
Bill Harley Family
Night
Please plan on joining us Thursday Night, January 14th,
at 6:30 for a performance by Author/Musician Bill Harley.
Bill has visited us the past few years and his performances
are exceptional. In grade 4 one of our
Units of Study is built around his book The
Spadefoot Toad. Bill will be
visiting each of our grade 4 classes to talk about the book and about life as
an author and illustrator. Bill is a 2
time Grammy Award Winner and his visits have been one of the highlights of each
year. We would, once again, like to
thank the PTA for making this possible!
There is no cost for families but seating is limited so we
are asking parents to let us know if you are planning on attending. If you are interested please fill out the attached form and return.
You don’t want to miss this performance……We hope to see you
there!
