Don’t Be A Bully, Be The Impact!

This past week our students were treated to a very fun, yet very important assembly called Don’t Be a Bully, Be the Impact.  The presentation was incredibly fun.  There was dancing, we wrapped teachers in toilet paper and we had a special guest…..The Funkey Monkey.

As fun as the assembly was there was a very important message.  When it comes to putting a stop to bullying students play a very important role.  Students can do their part by helping create a positive school climate.  When they see bullying they can tell the bully to stop or they can tell an adult.  Kids can stop bullying by being positive and helpful to their classmates.  We ask kids to have courage and work together to create the kind of school community we all want to see and to truly be Burkland’s BEST!

BOOK FAIR

Just a reminder that the Scholastic Book Fair is coming.  Class visits we scheduled for the week of February 2 – 5.  We will also have a family night on February 4^th from 4-7.  Parents can also pick up their Little Caesars order that night too…..just in time for the Super Bowl.
