Practice Makes Better

“Practice Makes Better!” 

Last week all 1^st grade classes were treated to a visit from author/illustrator Brian Lies and our staff and students LOVED the message. He made great connections to the curriculum for students when talking about writing but most importantly; he stressed the importance of working hard.

He spoke about how he was not the best at drawing when he was in 1^st grade but through practice and hard work, he got better!  We love this message because it is consistent with what we have been talking about here at HBB for 2 years.  We want students to try their hardest at everything they do!  Please take a minute to talk to your child about why working hard is important!  

The Big Blast is Coming! 

Please plan on joining us on Friday October 23^rd for the annual HBB Harvest Big Blast.  For those new to HBB, the Big Blast is a fun event for the whole family.  There will games, prizes, a web crawl, a pumpkin carving contest and many other fun things for the whole family.

You can save money by purchasing tickets in advance or buy your tickets at the door. 

Doors Open at 6 pm……we hope to see you all there!
