We would just like to take a moment to recognize and thank Mrs. Rogers, Mrs. Brandenburg, Mrs. Conley, Mrs. Carrier and Mrs. Battistini for their years of service to the children at HBB. Congratulations on your retirement.....you will be missed!
Last Day for Buses
I remember when I was a student how excited I was when school was out for the summer. While I am sure many of our students are glad school is out you never would have known that based on my interactions with students today. Most students I spoke with did not want to leave and were wishing they could come back tomorrow which is a testament to the great work our teachers did this year. We are going to miss our 5th graders and we are looking forward to seeing everyone in September. Here are some pics of us waving good bye to the students on the last day.
Jesse is Burkland's Best!!
This morning we had a wonderful ceremony with Mrs. Trottier's class and Jesse's family as we planted a tree next to the sign in the front of the building in Jesse's honor. When you drive by the school look for the small tree to the left of the Burkland sign. We will miss Jesse and he will always be Burkland's Best!
Limo Ride to School!!!
Last week it was a Fire Truck this week a Limo......our students had a blast riding to school in style and told me they plan to come to school in a Limo more often!
5th Grade Luncheon
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the 5th grade luncheon so much fun. It was a great way for the 5th grade students to wrap up the year! We even had parents dancing!!!

Awards/Charms
We had a few last charms and awards to get out to students today, including recognizing students with exceptional attendance, student council, music and art awards.....congratulations!!!!!
Well that about wraps it up! Please have a great summer and remember the Burkland's Best!!!! Thank you for a great year. Also......don't forget the summer pool party for all Character Word of the Week Winners scheduled for July 16th from 12-2 at the town pool....please RSVP to us here in the main office. We also have the walk-through scheduled for August 20th and the first day for students is August 27th.......have a great summer!!!!
