Spring is Here!!

The end of the school year is coming up quick but the year is far from over! We have lots of fun stuff planned for the rest of the year. We are currently planning for things like Field Day and we have already begun recording the annual LipDub!!

This is truly one of the busiest times of the year and as such, we would like encourage everyone to pay close attention to the school calendar for all the upcoming events.

Lastly, MCAS is not yet over and we would like to ask that you continue helping us by making sure that kids are present on testing days and that they get a good night sleep and eat a healthy breakfast on testing days.

The remaining testing dates are as follows:

Grade 3 Math – May 4, 11

Grade 4 Math – May 3, 10

Grade 5 Math – May 2, 9

Grade 5 Science – May 16, 18

Thank you Rotary!

Last night I attended the School Committee Meeting to receive a check from the Rotary for $11,200 which will go to support the Rotary Rays after school tutoring program.  Every year we have been able to support over 50 students in grades 4 and 5 at both HBB and MKG with this funding through the creation of an innovative and intensive tutoring program.  The program has proven itself successful and has made a big difference for the students who have participated in the program and we would like to thank all the members of the Rotary for their generous support and for making this program a reality!
