Read Across America!

Read Across America

What a great week!  We had so much fun this week celebrating Read Across America Day!  We had our dress up day on Wednesday, we read book reviews all week during the morning announcements and had a ton of fun activities planned in the classes all week to celebrate reading.  We were also excited to have all the great volunteer readers who came to visit all our classes this week.  Thank you to all our volunteer who came in this week!  Even though Read Across America Day is over we hope that everyone keeps the reading going!!!!

Parent Teacher Conferences

We would just like to take a moment to remind parents about our upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences. You should have received a form from your child’s teacher either requesting a meeting or informing you that the teacher believes your child is progressing well and they do not feel a conference is required.

Please know that should you want to meet with your child’s teacher for a conference you can. When a teacher says they do not feel a conference is required they are just letting you know that they do not have any questions but all teachers are aware that you may have questions or concerns and you may want to meet. Simply let the teacher know and they would be happy to meet. Please do not hesitate to request a conference should you want one and please do not ever hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions, comments or concerns.

Attendance Champs
I am very proud to report that HBB had the highest attendance rate in the district for the month of February. Our attendance rate was 95.1% during a month of February where attendance typically slips due to illness etc. Great job HBB! Good school attendance is crucial to performance in school!

Freedom Trail Scholars
Our 5th Grade students were treated to an assembly this week about the American Revolution!  The Freedom Trail Scholars Program is an assembly where 2 actors take on multiple roles to entertain, educate and engage students to learn more about the American Revolution.  The kids seem to really enjoy the assembly!
