First off, please remember that report cards will be sent home on the last day with all students. Your child's teacher for next year will be noted on each report card. Please remember we put a great deal of thought and effort into designating class placements for next year. We look to match students with the right teacher and to create groups of students that will work well together. We appreciate your understanding as this is a monumental task and we believe we have some great groups put together and we are already looking forward to an excellent year!
Also, please remember to scroll to the bottom for this week's Character Word of the Week Winners (Patriotism). Lastly, please be on the lookout for an invitation to a pool party! All students who won the Character Word of the Week award after the cutoff for the PawSox game will be receiving an invitation to a pool party at the local public pool. Be sure to save the date, the pool party is tentatively planned for Monday July 15th from 12-2!
Thank you Volunteers!
This week we hosted a volunteer breakfast to thank the many volunteers which help make HBB such a great place to be. We understand not everyone could be there so thank you to all who have helped out during the year and were unable to attend as well!
Crab Soccer Winner
This year's crab soccer championship was a hard fought battle between Mr. Cardoza's and Mrs. Martin's Classes. Mrs. Martin's class squeaked out a narrow victory to claim the championship this year. Congratulations!
Science Projects and Power Point Presentations
This week Mrs. Card and Mrs. DeLuca's classes had the opportunity to present their science projects and the power point presentations to parents. I was thoroughly impressed by all their hard work. I was particularly impressed with the science projects as students clearly put forth a great deal of thought, creativity and effort. Great job guys!
Tech Survey
Here is an important announcement from our Tech Department regarding our tech survey.....
Thanks for your support
The Middleborough Public Schools' technology department would like students
to participate in a research project. It is designed to help the district
understand the degree to which you know and feel comfortable using
technology to learn and communicate. Please carefully read and consider
each question before answering. Your feedback will help us plan the
technology program for Middleborough Public Schools, as we move forward in
the 21st century.
When the survey closes we will share findings with you and any changes you
might expect as the result of your feedback.

College Day
One of our goals at HBB is to build students self-confidence and belief in themselves. One way we seek to accomplish that is to always let students know that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. To support our efforts we hosted our first college day where all staff wore the shirts and hats from the college they attended. In addition, we were paid a visit from the Mascot of Bridgewater State College and we had some of our High School Seniors here during lunch to talk to our students about the colleges they plan to attend and the importance of attending college.
2nd Grade Play
Mrs. Roger's 2nd grade class treated the school and parents to her annual performance of Spiderrella. The play was exceptional and the students did a great job!
NMS and Summer Reading
Our 5th grade students were visited by students and staff from the Nichols Middle School to learn about the summer reading program. Remember, all 5th grade students entering 6th grade must read the book Crash!
Lastly.....this week's Character Word of the Week Winners
Congratulations to this week's winners!
