Anti Bullying Award and Kale

Congratulations goes out to two of our 5th grade students who were recently recognized at Bridgewater State College.  They entered an anti-bullying poster contest through the Mass. Aggression Reduction Center at Bridgewater State College and they were recognized for their entries.  Great job guys, we are very proud of you!

Kale Chips
This past week the cafeteria served Kale Chips made from Kale grown right in our very own garden.  The Chips were very popular and there have been a few requests for the recipe so here it is, enjoy and have a great weekend!

 * Preheat oven to 375*
    * Tear the leaves off the thick stems into bite size pieces.
    * Clean Kale and allow to dry
    * Spread kale out on a cookie sheet so it forms a single layer.
    * Drizzle about 2 tsp. of oil over kale.  (olive oil is best)
    * Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and season to taste.  ( I used
parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt (sea salt is best)
and pepper.)
    * Bake for approx. 10-15 minutes until edges are brown.  It cooks fast so
      keep an eye on it after 10 minutes.
