Power on One
Today we had the folks from the Power of One here for an anti-bullying assembly for grades 1 and 2. The assembly was great and the students learned how to recognize a bully and what to do about it.  They also learned that the power of one is the power that each individual student has to stop bullying so we can make HBB a bully free zone.  In Fact, all of our students who attended the assembly are signing a Bully Prevention Oath which will be hanging in the main lobby.  When all students are done signing the oath we will take a picture and share.   The oath is....
 I will not bully others.
I will not stand by while others are bullied.
I will report and deal with bullying wherever I see it...
...because I have the Power of One!

Fire Prevention Assemblies
A big thank you goes out to the Middleborough Fire Department as they took time out of their very busy schedule last week  to teach our first and second graders about Fire Safety.

Why we love HBB
To celebrate the 100th day of school all classes held nominations and a vote on the three things they love best about HBB.  Each class then put their top three on a heart and the hearts were all hung up in the Cafeteria.  I am impressed to see the variety and amount of things listed that students love about HBB.  If you zoom in on the picture you can see some of the things listed, and I am pretty proud to see that Mr. Gobeil and I made the list!

Colonial Tools
Again thank you to our PTA for bringing in a representative from Heritage Museum and Gardens to speak with our 5th grade students about the tools and ways of life during Colonial Times in America.  I had the opportunity to join one of the classes today and the kids were really enjoying the presentation.

Character Word of the Week Winners
The word of the week for last week was cooperation.  The following students have demonstrated the ability to work well with others.......Congratulations!!!!!

That is it for now....have a great day.........................................
