HBB Rally....We are Burkland's BEST!!

MCAS Starts Monday so today we held our annual HBB Rally.  We had a special guest this year to remind all our students about the power of hard word, kindness and respect.  We hold our rally every year in an effort to remind our students what being Burkland's BEST is all about and to boost their confidence as they head into MCAS season.  

Our special guest this year was Kevin Robinson...also known as K-Rob.  K-Rob is an XGames Gold medalist and Guinness World Record Holder.  He helped us deliver our message this year while also showing the kids some cool tricks.  

We hope as the kids come to school Monday they bring that same level of enthusiasm and confidence that they exhibited today during the rally because we know they will do great as long as they try their hardest.

Don't forget to wear your Red Sox Gear on Monday!!  We are also accepting $1 voluntary donations to benefit the Jimmy Fund.

Museum of Science States of Matter

This week Grade 2 students attended a great assembly to learn all about States of Matter.  Staff from the Museum of Science were here and the kids had a great time!

Museum of Science Grade 1

Lots of Stuff!

Hello HBB! We are looking forward to seeing everyone next week at Parent Teacher Conferences. Kids do better in school when their parents and guardians are involved in their academic lives. Attending parent–teacher conferences is one of the best ways to be involved and help your child succeed in school. As you get ready for your conference please be prepared with your questions and know that our goal is to ensure a solid partnership between home and school. Kids do best when they see all the adults in their lives working collaboratively to ensure that they are meeting with success and we are looking forward to talking and working with you to get the most out of your child!

Save the Date Events!
First and foremost, we hope to see you all Friday March 10th for our very first Arts Festival! The Arts Festival is scheduled from 4:30-6:30. We have fun events planned for the whole family and there is NO cost! We hope to see you there.

Our biggest event of the year is right around the corner! The Spaghetti Supper is planned for Friday March 24th! Tickets always go fast for this event so please be on the lookout for more information soon.

Lastly, we would like to ask you to plan on attending our Staff Basketball Game this year, which is scheduled for April 7th. All proceeds this year will go to Ella’s Lemonade Stand and fighting pediatric cancer. If you are interested in buying a shirt please click here!

Congratulations to our winners of the BOXTOPS Collection Contest. The winning classes were Mrs. Hart, Mr. Rooney, Ms. Fecteau, Mrs. Martin and the overall winner was Mrs. Barrett. Congratulations and thank you! We raised almost $1000 with this submission bringing our total for the year to $2549!!
