Please read the note below from Mr. Branagan (Principal of Middleboro High School)

As part of the important work of our NEASC Recommendations, we have created a forum to engage the Middleborough Community to come to MHS to become part of shaping the future of the high school.  This event is a follow-up to the NEASC Road Show that took place at most schools in the fall.   

The meeting will take place at 6:00pm on Tuesday, April 29th in the MHS Library and we would like to encourage you to attend..  The scope of this meeting will be to explore the vision of this committee.  The committee will be instrumental in helping shape our core values, beliefs and learning expectations of the high school moving forward and if you are interested in getting involved this is a great way to do so.  

Math Challenge....earn the next Burkland's Best Charm!

Math Challenge

It is time for the next challenge!  With MCAS Math coming up there is no better time to start the Math Challenge!  On the right hand side of this webpage you will find a tab listed for each grade where you will find the next challenge.  In order for students to earn their bead they must correctly answer all the questions for each sheet attached for the grade.   Some of the questions are difficult so it is ok to work with your child but remember, we want the kids to answer the questions, not the parents!  Help your child check their work!  Teachers are welcome to help students who need it as well.

You can print the worksheets out or write out the answers on a separate piece of paper but please include the work done, not just answers....please be sure to include first and last name. If you need a paper copy of the challenge let your teacher know and we will get you a copy.  Once your child has completed the challenge turn in sheets to your teacher.....good luck!

Dress for SOX-CESS

This year for opening day at Fenway Park we are raising money for the Jimmy Fund and we need your help.  We are asking all students to make an optional $1 donation to wear your Red Sox Gear.  Dress for SOX-CESS is this Friday so don't forget to wear your Red Sox Gear!!

5th Grade Buddies

This year Mrs. Dziewit started a great new program called 5th Grade Buddies.  5th Grade Buddies are a group of students who go into 1st grade classes and support/mentor 1st graders.  5th Grade Buddies do everything from helping the teacher to helping students with homework.  The program has been a huge success and we are very proud of the work they have been doing this year.
